Hi Everyone:

The news continues to get better. On Wednesday, Vikki went to Saint Joseph's Hospital for an out-patient endoscopy procedure. This was part of the overall recovery plan. The procedure was for the removal of the stint that was inserted way back on September 19th at Northside Hospital to arrest the leakage of bile into the abdomen. The leaking duct has now closed up, making the need for the stint obsolete.

Her appetite has improved greatly in the last week. This is good since she was on the verge of looking a little bit like a scarecrow. Her clothes kind of hang on her now.

Another good bit of news is that she felt like driving herself to the library yesterday. This is only the third time she has operated her car in eight weeks.

Now she wants to regain enough strength to work at her home computer several hours a day.
