Hi All:
Over the weekend the nurses were concerned about Vikki's blood-oxygen level and placed her on supplemental oxygen. This has brought her blood-oxygen level back to normal. She does NOT have pneumonia but her respiratory function is a point of concern. She is a little more ambulatory. They have done chest x-rays and CAT scans to monitor her lungs and GI function. Her GI function has improved to the point that on Monday morning she is set to graduate from clear liquids to soft food. That may not seem like much but it is actually a very big deal. A new area of concern is fluid retention; she has swelling in legs and feet.
Please continue to pray for her blood oxygen level, respiratory function, fluid retention, and general strength. I cannot tell you how much joy she has in her face when I tell her that you are praying for her.
I am having trouble keeping up with phone calls. Allow me to inform y'all via e-mail. Please do not call or visit Vikki at the hospital. Often she is not in the room and when she is, she does not feel like talking.
Thank you for all that you have done and are doing,
Gregg
